PIVOT — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This policy explains what the mobile game PIVOT (com.bobastudio.pivot) does with your data. PIVOT is made by BoBa Studio, an independent developer based in Portugal, who is the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR.

The first time you open it, the game asks whether it may send game data, and sends nothing until you answer. If you say no (or turn it off later in Settings → Data & privacy → Game data), the game sends no game activity. If you say yes, it keeps a random player id and the game activity described below, for 90 days.

After your first win the game asks you to choose a nickname. Nicknames are unique, so the game checks yours with our server, and an account is created there at that moment (a random player id, your nickname and your avatar) — whether or not you agreed to game data. Until you choose a nickname, if you said no to game data and never entered an online mode, the game stores nothing about you on our server.

1. What we handle, and why

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth. There is no account to create, no password, and no newsletter.

2. What is public

If you play online, your nickname, avatar, XP and rank appear on the public leaderboard. Your friends additionally see whether you are in the game at that moment. Choose a nickname you are comfortable showing: nicknames are unique (no two players have the same one) and offensive ones are refused. You can change it at any time in your Profile.

If you play Ranked, other players can play against your recorded matches and see your nickname, avatar, rank and score.

3. Ads

PIVOT shows rewarded ads only: they never interrupt you, and they only play when you tap to watch one in exchange for a reward. Ads are served by Google AdMob.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your advertising consent the first time you open it, through Google's consent form. You can change that choice later in the game's settings.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

5. How long we keep it

6. Deleting your data

In the game: Settings → Data & privacy → Online data → Delete (in older versions: Settings → Online data → Delete). This removes your player record, your matches, your game activity and your server-side backups. Your progress stays on your device until you uninstall the game. To stop sending game activity without deleting anything else: Settings → Data & privacy → Game data.

If you already uninstalled: email bobastudio.suporte@gmail.com with your nickname and roughly how much XP you had, so we can find the right record. We answer within 30 days.

The copy in your own Google account is managed by you, in the Play Games app: Settings → Delete Play Games data.

You also have the right to access, correct, and export your data, to object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority — in Portugal, the CNPD.

7. Who else is involved

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services above.

8. Where your data is

The game server is hosted in the European Union. Google's services may process data outside the EU under their own safeguards.

9. Children

PIVOT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, write to bobastudio.suporte@gmail.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
